Broad Scottish Sword - Order Code SW1

This fine example is based on the imaginative styles produced by Walter Allan who was admitted freeman of the Incorporation of Hammermen of Stirling in 1732. This exquisite hilt is hot forged form steel and is entirely decorated throughout, with triple fullers on the barwork. The solid oak grip has steel ferrules and is wrapped in blue-grey rayskin with spiral copper wire bindings. A leather liner covered either side with thick red cloth adorns the inside of the hilt.

Basket Hilt Broad Sword- Order Code SW2

This decorative Scottish basket is fashioned in the fully developed Highland style with stout bars of circular section. The liner helps to prevent chaffing and also gives protection to the users hand.

Scottish Basket Hilt Sword - Order Code SW3

This robust Scottish sword shows an early example of the "S" member appearing within the barwork. This "S" has been considered to have a Jacobite connection: the S may stand for Stuart or Sterling. The sturdy hilt is hot forged from steel with the barwork fashioned into a Saltire on the front of the basket

Scottish Sword - Order Code SW4

This flamboyant hot forged steel hilt is based on one of the more elaborate and ornate hilts from the second quarter of the 18th Century. The solid oak grip has steel ferrules and is wrapped in blue-grey rayskin with spiral copper wire bindings. A leather liner covered either side with thick red cloth adorns the inside of the hilt.

Scottish Sword - Order Code SW5

This is a typical example of a "Glasgow" pattern basket hilt broadsword that was dominant throughout the Jacobite period. This beautifully crafted hilt is hot forged from steel that is elegantly ornamented with triple fullering throughout the barwork and acid etched pattern all over the hilt. The solid oak grip has steel ferrules and is wrapped in blue-grey rayskin with spiral copper wire bindings. A leather liner covered either side with thick red cloth adorns the inside of the hilt.

This is a typical example of a "Glasgow" pattern basket hilt broadsword that was dominant throughout the Jacobite period. This beautifully crafted hilt is hot forged from steel that is elegantly ornamented with triple fullering throughout the barwork using many of the traditional methods from the 18th Century. The solid oak grip has steel ferrules and is wrapped in blue-grey rayskin with spiral copper wire bindings. A leather liner covered either side with thick red cloth adorns the inside of the hilt.

Scottish Claymore Sword - Order Code SW8

This Scottish Claymore sword features a steel wheel type pommel and a crossguard that ends in quatrefoil terminals. The grip is of solid oak that is stained and lacquered to a beautiful sheen. The langets of the crossguard extend down onto the blade and have straight-line markings cut into the surface.
